Iron Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, Captain America, Daredevil... This week, several superheroes have been orphaned. A true legend of American comics, Stan Lee died on Monday, November 12th at the age of 95. It was his daughter, Joan Celia Lee, who broke the news to the US media network TMZ.

Stan Lee, who dubbed himself ‘The Man,’ revolutionised the comic book industry in the 1960s, with publisher Marvel. In total, he created more than 200 characters who have influenced generations of fans and who have become major figures in the American film industry.
Ever the businessman, Stan Lee, identifiable by his timeless aviator glasses, also oversaw many of the adaptations of his Marvel comics for television and cinema, taking pleasure in making short appearances, known as ‘cameos’ in films featuring his characters, just like Alfred Hitchcock did before him.
