But what would the most famous character of the United States look like in real life? The artist Miguel Vasquez looked into the matter, and posted the result on his Instagram account.
3D digital creations specialist Vasquez imagined a Homer relieved of his famous yellow skin colour and with facial features much more in line with a human version of the character.
But with his bulging eyes, huge mouth and three-day beard, this 3D version of Homer is really scary, and really does not look in great shape.
