One of the most difficult parts of I’m A Celeb each year is, for many of the campmates, the measly rations of rice and beans that the contestants are fed if they don’t do well in the trials. This year, the lack of food has clearly been making many of the contestants pretty ‘hangry’, with football pundit Ian Wright and comedian Andrew Maxwell frequently sniping at each other when it comes to mealtimes.

Each year, many of the contestants leave the show looking noticeably skinnier than they did going in and this year is no exception to the rule as the campmates have reportedly all lost weight in the two weeks they’ve been living in the jungle.
An I’m A Celeb source has revealed to The Sun that the ten campmates who’ve been in the show since Day 1 have already lost a shocking five stone between them – an average of half a stone each. This is thought to be down to their reduced calorie intake – as they’re reported to get around 700 calories a day.
The show insider revealed: ¨There’s not been a lot of food on offer this first week, with many subjected to just basic rations and even when the food has been won through trials it’s still tiny portions compared to what many are used to. James has seen the biggest drop in weight, which is not surprising given how big he was when he went in. But some of the others – including Ian and Kate Garraway – have seen a big difference already too.¨
Meanwhile, rugby player James Haskell’s wife, Chloe Madeley, has revealed that she’s concerned about the drastic reduction in her husband’s calorie intake whilst he’s on the show, saying: ¨On a normal day he eats 4,000 calories, a lot of food. Even when they get fed in camp, for him it is absolutely nothing.¨
