And not just any scene! In this deleted scene, Draco Malfoy can be seen standing between the two wizards, before throwing his wand to Harry. This is an important moment in the film because although he swore an oath to the Dark Lord, the young Slytherin ends up siding with the 'good guys.'

In 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,' Draco is given two important tasks by He Who Must Not Be Named: to use the vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement in order to bring the Death Eaters into Hogwarts and to kill the school's headmaster, Albus Dumbledore.
Although he succeeds brilliantly with his first mission, he isn't able to complete the second. In fact, as he stands in front of his headmaster, wand up, he is not able to use the 'Avada Kedavra' curse, and he eventually gives up. Was this the first sign of Draco Malfoy's redemption? As the late Sirius Black said so well: 'We've all got both light and dark inside us.'
