The fourth season of the show was confirmed back in July 2018 but until now there's been no word as to when the next series would be dropping. Now, Amazon have confirmed that the fourth season, which will be released this autumn, will be the last. They've also released a seriously dramatic trailer that teases the return of many of our favourite - and most hated - characters.
The official Amazon summary of Season 4 reveals that the final season 'will be rocked by war and revolution' and that we'll see Juliana - played by Alexa Davalos - lead the Resistance into a 'full-blown rebellion'. We'll also see Joel de la Fuente's Inspector Kido struggle with his loyalties to country and family and John Smith - played by Rufus Sewell - tempted by the possibilities parallel worlds could hold.
Executive producer Isa Dick Hackett revealed that although this will be the last season of the show, there may be more stories yet to come: ' While we're bringing this chapter to a conclusion, if one thinks beyond the final frames of this series, it is very provocative to think about what stories may come thereafter. Whether or not we all get to tell them or they get told in another incarnation in film and television, that's for us to all see.'
