If you thought the heyday of the ‘Llorona’ legend was over, you’re beyond wrong. While the Conjuring 3 is currently in production and expected to hit theaters in 2020, the Warner Bros. decided to tide us over with a chilling trailer for The Curse of la Llorona, a ‘surprise’ horror film announced in October 2018 that rapidly became one of the most anticipated films of 2019.

Produced by the horror movie king James Wan (Conjuring 1 and 2, Aquaman), this film, expected to hit the big screen on April 17th, is being directed by Michael Chaves, the same young director heading Conjuring 3. As far as casting goes, there’s Linda Cardellini (Green Book), Raymond Cruz, Patricia Velasquez, Marisol Ramirez, Sean Patrick Thomas, Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen, and Roman Christou in the line-up.
