One actor above the rest
Thanks to its success, the actors from the saga have earned quite a nice fortune that accounts for several million dollars. But one actor is above the rest in this respect and it’s not who you might think! Robert Downey Jr isn’t the superhero that has pocketed the most money, but rather his co-star Chris Hemsworth is!
Although Robert Downey Jr is the most popular of the Avenges - and normally the richest just like Tony Stark – he is quite far behind in comparison to the actor who plays Thor. In fact, the Australian actor has amassed no less than 76.4 million dollars in comparison to the 66 million dollars that Iron Man has earned. This difference is justified by Chris Hemsworth’s appearance in Men In Black International, making him a bit more valuable.
The rankings
Although these two actors are at the top of this list, Bradley Cooper comes in just after with 57 million dollars in third position, followed by Scarlett Johansson with 56 million dollars. Chris Evans, the brave Captain America, is in fourth place with ‘just’ 43.5 million dollars.
As it would appear though, their salary doesn’t depend on the film’s profit or the success it has with the fans, but rather on each actor’s talent for negotiation, since each contract is individually negotiated.
In total, Marvel has paid out no more than 340 million dollars to the saga’s actors. And as with every job, a seniority bonus of up to 20 million dollars was given to Robert Downey Jr. A bonus that every worker would love to receive.
