Up until now, this year's campmates have all seemed to get along remarkably well - supporting each other through hard times and generally seeming like a lovely bunch of people. However, Wednesday night's episode saw tempers starting to fray in camp - as Rita and John clashed over portion sizes when it came to making lunch.

John was upset when Rita asked other campers to vote over whether they wanted to cook more than 4 portions of rice for lunch. However, it was Nick Knowles' reaction to the argument that really riled viewers up - as he told John that Rita's bad mood was probably because she was on her period:
'Remember the girls are going to be a bit jumpier because of what time of the month they told us it is. We’re going to have that for a couple of days with the girls.'
Later, Nick provoked raised eyebrows yet again as he refused to touch Emily's knickers to put them on the washing line whilst doing the laundry - asking John Barrowman to do it for him. Whilst some viewers reckoned this was 'gentlemanly', others took to Twitter to call him out on it.
