Gordon became a much-loved member of the cast after joining the I’m a Celebfamily way back in 2017. Kiosk Kev, lead the tributes by sharing his condolences over Instagram. The star, whose real name is Mark Herlaar wrote:
Tribute to a great man TROY. R.I.P brother loved your company and friendship was great knowing you and working with you. I'll still be looking for your happy smile and great sense of humor. Take your rest brother. And know you are truly missed.. much love from Tarzan.
Troy, who worked as a lighting and camera operator couldn’t make it over for this year’s series as the due to the coronavirus, the celebrity survival competition had been moved to Wales.
Herlaar’s heartfelt post was accompanied by photo’s of Troy during filming, one with the operator giving a cheeky thumbs-up and one alongside Herlaar posing as Kiosk Kev.
Australian celebs have also been sending their well wishes as Troy was also known for his work with Australian Survivor as well as popular reality tv show Married at First Sight.
Survivor star Mat Rogers wrote 'So sad mate. Prayers up brother.’
Meanwhile, Channel 9’s Leila McKinnon added:
Absolutely heartbreaking, we had so many adventures together, he should have had many more to come, so incredibly sad.
The popularI’m a Celebteam member passed away in the early hours of Monday morning after a private battle with cancer.
Gordon had been working in the industry for over 30 years, and even started his own company, TGR Vision, back in 2005. According to the Courier Mail, the legend had also worked as a news cameraman, covering life-changing events such as the Gulf War and the Indian Ocean earthquake back in 2004.
Gordon’s successful career in the industry even earned him a Golden Tripod award for his cinematography.
