Coronation Street star Simon Gregson was one of the most successful campmates on this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!. After entering camp as a late arrival, he proved a major hit with viewers and stormed his way to the final before being pipped to the post by Emmerdale’s Danny Miller.

Simon Gregson cheating
However, the star has now admitted that he got away with cheating while he was in the castle by smuggling in contraband. While much of the contraband the celebs tried to sneak in was found and confiscated, Simon managed to get a few bits in. Appearing on the Legends of the Castle reunion show, he said:
I would try to smuggle in some salt, pepper and a lot of stock cubes. They got me on the salt and pepper but they never got me on the stock cubes. Every time I cooked I put a bit of stock cube in.
While this was technically cheating, we won’t hold it against Simon, as he was at least sharing his contraband with the whole camp by putting it in the bland rice and beans.

Meanwhile, fellow campmate Kadeena Cox—who was eliminated second after two weeks in the castle—admitted she managed to sneak a few sweets in - Werther’s Originals and Fruitellas. The celebs didn’t elaborate on where they hid the contraband to get it into camp—as the show’s staff are known for being strict on checking pockets. On second thought, we’re not sure we want to know where they were stuffing their stock cubes and sweeties...
