I’m A Celebis a reality show that’s about the survival of the fittest but the tough conditions and crazy challenges don’t stop when the cameras are turned off. Louise Minchin, who participated in the 2021 season, gave viewers a little insight into what living in the camp was like and well, it’s a good thing the contestants are getting paid to come on the show.

Living in camp
Express.co.uk reported that the 53-year-old British journalist recently opened up about her experience during her podcast Her Spirit—which she did alongside BBC presenter Annie Emmerson and co-founder of the podcast Mel Berry. While answering questions from fellow viewers about the show, she talked about how hard it was for her to get any privacy while filming. She said:
You’re in a dormitory. In that dormitory… it’s quite clever because the way it’s designed there's nowhere to hide.
I think that’s one of the things that I found toughest when I first went in, that there was no privacy.
No privacy at all.
Being filmed 24x7
She even said that the cameras would follow contestants around everywhere and the only place she could be completely alone was the bathroom—which was sadly a long drop toilet. She added:
But there’s cameras on you there—there’s cameras 24 hours a day.
The only place you’re not filmed is is the loo.
Louise Minchin was one of the most popular contestants of the show and was eliminated on day 17. While leaving the show, she told hosts Ant and Dec that she was disappointed with the outcome and hoped that Frankie Bridge would take the win. She said:
I'm disappointed that's the case and I don't know why that's the case because there were some great women in there. I said to [Frankie], 'Go win it' and I hope she will. I hope she can just get through these last few days.
In the end, Emmerdale actor Danny Miller was crowned the king of the castle while Frankie came in at third place.
