While Storm Arwen was throwing production of I’m A Celeb into chaos last weekend, two anonymous intruders took advantage of the mayhem to break into camp. Dressed in camouflage gear, they bypassed the six-tier security system to make it all the way into the celebrities’ sleeping quarters. Luckily, the celebs were not in camp at the time.

I’m A Celeb intruders
According to the intruders, they were in the camp for 90 minutes before being discovered and ejected. It’s unclear exactly what they were after, as one of them admitted they don’t watch the show themselves.
Meanwhile, a source told The Sun:
With the castle being so close to main roads and a town, it’s just a far more open goal than the Australian jungle. Security swooped as soon as the men were spotted on CCTV but it was stroke of real luck that the celebs had all been moved out the main camp or the intruders would have been in among them. The celebs were never at risk but bosses are furious someone would be so stupid to try and break into a castle in the middle of a storm.
The dangerous stunt was described as ‘foolish’ and ‘highly irresponsible’ by the show source. Not only were they trespassing on private property, they were also putting themselves and the show’s security team in danger due to the storm.
I’m A Celeb security: How is the castle protected?
For obvious reasons, the full security system is not public knowledge but it is said to feature guards, steel fencing, anti-drone equipment and Armadillo robots, which feature motion sensors and deter intruders with lights, alarms and cameras.
