As the duo sat to discuss what to expect of the upcoming series, they announced that the aim for this new year would be to go back to Australia after being forced to remain in the UK since 2020. But with the pandemic situation having calmed down in recents months, borders will be opening up once again and filming can start back in the jungle! During the interview, Dec said:
Nothing against Wales. But you know, Australia is [I'm A Celeb's] home and we'd like to get back there—and we can! That's what we're hoping for, touch wood.
To which Ant jokingly added:
We love Wales. You get a much better tan in New South Wales than you do Wales,

The biggest series yet
Interestingly, though the show had to make last minute arrangements to comply with the rules of the pandemic, viewership was quite high as Britons were stuck at home in lockdown. The 20th series saw an average of 11.05 million people tuning in per episode.
However, with promising developments to return to its original format, bosses of the show believe this might very well generate the biggest numbers in viewers ever!
