Harrison Ford starred on the Ellen Show on the 18th of February, and confirmed to fans that the new film is underway in classic Ford humour, stating:

"I can deny that it's not happening."
Fans were initially confused and sighed in sadness as they believed that the film was cancelled until Ellen explained to the audience the implementations of adouble negative.
The 'Blade Runner' actor explained that filming will commence late this summer and that he's looking forward to playing his iconic role once again, and that Indiana Jones movies are "great fun to make".
The fifth film in the 39-year-old franchise announced in 2018, that it would be delayed by a year, missing its 2020 release date. the film has now been confirmed to be released in July 2021.
Lucasfilm President, Kathleen Kennedy also provided an update to the BBC at the BAFTAS on the situation. Kennedy revealed that the script is well on the way and that the new film will be a continuation of the previous ones, instead of a reboot:
"We're working away, getting the script where we want it to be, and then we'll be ready to go. Harrison Ford will be involved. It's not a reboot--it's a continuation."
Steven Spielberg will luckily be returning to film the next in the series after directing the previous four films but unfortunately, Indiana's son Mutt, played by Shia LaBeouf will not be returning.
The premiere of the fifth Indiana Jones film will be near the 79th birthday of its iconic star, prompting the question of whether this will be the last time Ford gets to represent his famous archaeologist character.
