I'm A Celeb 2020 was a series like no other, as the show’s relocation to Wales meant a lot of changes for both the campmates and the viewers. Now, it looks as though ITV’s most popular reality series could be returning to Gwrych Castle for a second year running, as producers are already thinking ahead to the next series.

Will I’m A Celeb 2021 be in Wales?
An insider source who spoke to The Sun revealed that Gwrych Castle has been secured as a back-up plan for I’m A Celeb 2021, saying:
Ultimately they are at the mercy of Covid-19 restrictions. Formally an agreement is in place for the use of Gwrych Castle this year. Should the show need to be held there again it has all got the green light.
The source continued:
A huge amount of work went into readying the building so the basics are all laid down and ready to go. The castle format ended up being a huge success for ITV and having a second series in Wales wouldn’t be a negative for them. But going back to Australia is what everyone wants and that is what everyone is working towards and hoping for.
After its success last year, it was previously reported that I'm A Celeb producers were considering holding the show in Wales every other year, even after Covid restrictions are no longer in place. A Radio Times poll last year found that 64% of viewers preferred the show in the castle whilst a poll by The Sun showed that just over half would prefer a return to the jungle.
