ITV have already revealed that I’m A Celeb 2020 won’t be taking place in the Australian jungle. But having spent millions moving production to Gwyrch Castle in Wales, new coronavirus measures may put the new plans in jeopardy too as London, Essex and Manchester-based stars may be unable to travel.

New COVID-19 restrictions may jeopardise the show
On Thursday 15 October it was announced that London and Essex were among the areas set to go into Tier 2 coronavirus restrictions from this Saturday. Meanwhile, Greater Manchester is already in Tier 2 and risks being pushed into Tier 3–very high alert level–as cases climb.
Meanwhile, Wales’ First Minister Mark Drakeford has announced that Brits from Tier 2 and 3 areas of the UK could be blocked from entering Wales. He said:
Evidence from public health professionals suggests coronavirus is moving from east to west across the UK and across Wales. Much of Wales is now subject to local restriction measures because levels of the virus have risen and people living in those areas are not able to travel beyond their county boundary without a reasonable excuse. I am determined to keep Wales safe.
Will the stars be able to travel to the set?
Many of the celebs rumoured to be appearing on I’m A Celeb 2020–including dancer AJ Pritchard, actress Tamzin Outhwaite and boxer/reality star Tommy Fury–hail from London, Essex and Manchester. It is unclear whether stars from these regions will be able to travel to Wales for filming come November.
However, an I’m A Celeb insider told The Sun:
ITV bosses are working hard to get the show to air and there have been a lot of meetings behind the scenes on how they can make things work. They're determined for the show to go ahead, as long as it's safe.
