Caitlyn Jenner has touched down in Australia ahead of the start of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2019 this Sunday night on ITV1. However, it turns out that the 70-year-old has some experience when it comes to jungle living and Bushtucker Trials – as she’s actually appeared on the show before.

It turns out that Caitlyn appeared on the first-ever US series of I’m A Celeb way back in 2003 – then known as Bruce and still married to Kris Jenner - and came forth out of the ten contestants, finishing behind John Melendez, Melissa Rivers and Cris Judd (he was married to Jennifer Lopez at one point, apparently).
Caitlyn explained: ‘I did the US version of this and it was a very interesting experience last time I did it. Being in the jungle is certainly not easy and yes, it is totally back to basics but I thought this would be a great opportunity to leave everything behind for three weeks. Last time, it was almost like a cleansing of the soul.’
She’s also revealed that whilst she’s unfazed by critters, her biggest fear going into the jungle is other people, admitting in her pre-jungle interview: ‘Dealing with other people is by far the hardest thing. It's much more difficult than dealing with the most poisonous snakes in the world. That's easy — just stay away from them.’
As a worldwide US-based star, Caitlyn is thought to have commanded one of the biggest paychecks in I’m A Celeb history – as reports say she’s set to receive upwards of £500,000 for participating on the show this time around. Let’s just hope she makes it worth it by being an entertaining campmate…
