The next series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here may seem like a long way off but plans are already being put together for ITV’s biggest reality show. It’s still unclear whether I’m A Celeb 2021 will take place in Australia or in Wales again. Producers have reportedly booked Gwrych Castle again just in case – and Ant and Dec say they’d be up for it.

Ant and Dec wouldn’t mind returning to Wales for I’m A Celeb 2021
Chatting to Digital Spy, Ant McPartlin said: ‘If during coronavirus we have to stay put and do it in Wales again, I’d be very happy… There were cardboard cutouts of me and Dec in the butcher, and the local school did a tribute. We’d happily go back there. We’d miss the sunshine, mind.’ Meanwhile, co-star Declan Donnelly said:
The people in Wales were lovely. They made us feel very welcome. I had a lovely time. I will miss the sunshine, but I will not miss the jetlag of coming back from Australia. I’d love to go back to Oz. But if we had to go back to Wales, I wouldn’t be disappointed.
The 2020 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! was a great success despite the change of location, with over 10 million viewers tuning in to see Giovanna Fletcher be crowned the first ever I’m A Celeb Queen of the Castle. According to a Radio Times poll, 64% of viewers even preferred the castle to the jungle.
Will I’m A Celeb 2021 be in Australia?
It was previously suggested that show producers were considering returning to Gwrych Castle on a biannual basis, alternating years in the Australian jungle and years in Wales to keep the show fresh. However, the coronavirus pandemic may mean that the show has to be filmed in Wales again this year.
