In the video, we catch a glimpse of Mario and Link, the latter of which sporting the same look from the most recent Zelda title Breath of the Wild which came out just a year ago. People are speculating that this could mean the game could be an entirely new game in the series.
The latest instalment of the series, Super Smash Bros. For Wii U, came out late 2014. Given the time between most of the major releases, this may suggest that the upcoming Smash game may be a port of the previous version. However, no official word has yet been released by Nintendo. It seems we may have to wait until later this year to find out!
