UFC Sweden 2
On 6th April 2013 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, The Notorious graced the UFC octagon for the very first time. The Irish fighter had shown great potential prior to his debut after tearing through the competition in London-based promotion Cage Warriors. Dana White made a gamble and signed McGregor before even meeting him.

As we all know, this gamble more than paid off for the UFC.
His opponent, TUF season 14 winner Marcus Brimage, was on a 3 win streak. The two men faced off on the undercard in a featherweight bout.
First-round TKO
From the very first blows, the two fighters made it clear they were determined to keep the fight on their feet. Constantly moving, McGregor started showcasing the varied combinations that he's become so famous for. After a series of jabs and straights, it was when the Irishman delivered a mean uppercut that Marcus Brimage finally hit the ground.
In less than a minute, it was clear Marcus Brimage was faltering under the power (or as McGregor claimed his fight again Jose Aldo, 'precision and timing'!) of Conor McGregor. The match was stopped and McGregor was awarded the win via TKO. Not only did he get his first win in the UFC, but McGregor also was awarded the KO of the Night bonus as well as a cool $50,000.
His subsequent successful career is well-known by all and led to McGregor to be crowned one of the best pound-for-pound fighters of the past few years.
