No dumbbells, no treadmill and not a lot of exercise time. All you need at your disposal is a simple jump rope that you may have only used a dozen times. Dust it off, make a bit of space in your garage and follow the workout instructions below that have been specially designed to get you back into exercising and losing weight.

The ‘jump rope’ workout for beginners
1. Classic jump
2. Jump on your right foot
3. Jump on your left foot
4. Knee-up jumps
5. Classic jump
Do each of these five exercises in bouts of 20 seconds of work, broken up with 10 seconds of break. In order to complete the workout, you have to do five rounds with a minute rest between each round. In total, this accounts to 17 minutes 30 seconds of work. Perfect for those days when you don’t have a lot of time.
Nevertheless, it's always important to remember that exercise alone won't lead to weight loss - you need to make sure that you're complementing these kinds of workouts with a healthy and balanced diet to help you achieve your fitness goals too.
