The famous challenge of 100 push-ups per day for 1 month has been taken up by many sports enthusiasts. But Evan Zhang decided to go further by doing 300 push-ups daily for 30 days.
Series of 20 to 30 push-ups
The YouTuber approached this challenge with a well-defined method. To reach his 300 daily push-ups, he did 10 sets of 30 reps. When he felt that his body was a little more tired, he reduced the pace to 15 sets of 20 reps. He also paid close attention to technique when doing his classic push-ups, controlling the descent and being explosive on the way back up.
A beneficial experience
At the end of the 30 days, Zhang displays his physique on camera, comparing it to his pre-challenge physique. His chest size has increased by 2 centimetres. A progression that goes hand in hand with his performance. While his maximum number of push-ups was 45, he went up to 60, feeling much stronger and mastering the movement better. Zhang explains:
I've gotten a little drier, which is great. But it's not so much about the before and after comparison, but the process that was accomplished. I'm always looking to improve, challenge myself and see what I can endure.
And added:
My bench press definitely improved after those 30 days, as the usual weight felt easier to lift and I could do more reps.
