It’s the most anticipated event in European football. The Champion’s League final will be watched by millions around the globe when the first whistle is blown on Saturday evening. In anticipation fo the crucial game between Liverpool and Real Madrid, thousands of fans have travelled to Kiev, Ukraine, to cheer on their team.

But the trouble has started already.
Known for their rowdy football culture, some Ukrainian ultras have taken their passion for the sport way too far. Yesterday evening a group of Liverpool supporters were dining in a local restaurant when they came under attack from a group of masked hooligans. They were forced to defend themselves with tables and chairs, and were left covered in blood.
Jason Frost from Nuneaton described the attack. He said “We’ve been here for four hours and then we’re getting attacked. They came at us like a pack of dogs. It just kept coming it was terrifying”. The men involved were subsequently arrested and put it Ukrainian custody.
This altercation is now raising more worries over concern for the safety of both Liverpool and Real Madrid fans at Saturday’s final.
