The past weekend once again granted football lovers some great performances and goals, just like the always entertaining derby between Real Madrid and Barcelona for example which is always a great game, or the spectacular feud between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, the most recent winner of the Champions League. But the Premier League is always a hot topic for football fans, especially the latest game between Liverpool and Manchester City.

'That's a complete killer,' strong words from Klopp
The clash between the reigning English champion and the defending former champion finally ended in a draw (1-1) with Gabriel Jesus responding to Mohamed Salah's goal by scoring a penalty. Kevin de Bruyne, a player who is about to receive a record-breaking salary in the Premier League, also missed a penalty which could have changed the whole match. But what we will probably remember most about this match is what happened next… when Jurgen Klopp went on a huge rant.
Angry about how the current season is being scheduled and greatly upset because of the current health crisis, Jurgen Klopp has expressed particular concern about how little time his players have been given to recover between matches and the fact that they are being forced to quickly alternate between the Champions League and the Premier League. Needless to say, the German coach didn't sugar coat it:
No team on a Wednesday night should have the 12:30 kick-off on Saturday. Okay Sunday no problem, Not the 12:30 because that is a complete killer. This is the recovery phase. The Premier League has to change, Sky, BT everyone has to talk to each other. You want good football? Give the boys a few hours more rest.
Pep Guardiola is also worried about the players health
The manager who won the Champions League and Premier League trophies for Liverpool after several years of scarcity was even able to count on the support of his opponent on the issue. Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's manager, one of the highest paid managers in the world, has also expressed concern about the health of his players, in particular a lack thereof:
Trent Alexander-Arnold, international English player, now injured. I don't understand how, all around the world, it's five substitutions and here in England, it's completely the opposite. I don't understand why the people took this decision when you have to protect the players.
