After months of trash talk and plenty of build-up, Tommy Fury has pulled out of his December 18 fight with Jake Paul for medical reasons. In a statement, Tommy revealed he has been suffering from a chest infection and broken rib. Meanwhile, another former Love Island star has offered to take Tommy’s place for the fight.

Who is Idris Virgo?
If you don’t remember Idris from Love Island, that might be because he only lasted four days in the villa back in 2018 before being dumped when he failed to couple up with anyone. Since this brief foray into reality TV, Idris has been focusing on his boxing career. He has had 12 professional fights so far and remains unbeaten.
Jake Paul’s December 18 fight
However, it seems unlikely that Jake Paul will accept Idris’ offer as he has already agreed to a rematch with Tyron Woodley on December 18th in place of his fight with Tommy. The Youtube star has even promised to pay Tyron an extra $500,000 bonus if he manages to knock him out. Jake previously emerged victorious from his bout with Woodley in August this year - although he didn’t knock him out.
