The 18-year-old has just recently started her training in Florida at the WWE Performance Center. Simone told WWE in a statement:
“It means the world to me. To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle but to carry on that legacy.”
Johnson's father has also been super supportive of his daughter's dreams, he told with Good Morning America in 2018:
“I said, ‘Honey, whatever your passion is, I support that.’ And wrestling was good to me, I started my career in Madison Square Garden. So, yeah, bring it on, she’s going to be a champ.”
Head Coach Matt Bloom and Assistant Head Coach Sara Amato, of the WWE Performance Center, have taken quite well to Simone and claim that she has a long way to go but she learns quickly:
“Simone knows she has a lot to learn. She’s hungry to learn and picks the coaches’ minds, and the veteran Superstars’, as well. She’s not going to rest on her laurels. It’s been a short time, but she’s been crushing it.”
With such a strong wrestling lineage, we would expect nothing less. The WWE Hall of Famewill surely have to clear some more space for the Johnson family.
