This unusual idea started a few years ago in Japan - three football players went up against a hundred kids on the pitch but this time it was Man United legends Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Chris Smalling that played the game for James Corden’s Late Late Show.

The professionals didn't go too easy on the youngsters either. The three Manchester United players were leading in the game before the referee made a somewhat disputed decision in the kids’ favour. By the end of the match, the professionals won the game 2-1, after a magnificent goal from Juan Mata that the 10 goalkeepers could do nothing about.
It has to be said that James Corden didn’t make much difference to the outcome of the game when he joined the kids' team later in the game. The host wasn’t able to show the extent of his talent against the three players, who were later joined by José Mourinho in goal.
