The final episode of Line of Duty got mixed reviews on Sunday as the identity of H was finally revealed (don’t worry, this is a spoiler-free article). The episode was watched by an incredible 12.8 million viewers–and Steve Arnott actor Martin Compston has revealed that he and his co-stars will be celebrating with matching tattoos.

He revealed the tattoo pact in a message to fans following the Line of Duty finale, writing:
myself, Vicky, Adrian and Jed made an agreement in the inconceivable and ridiculous scenario we ever got twelve million viewers we would get 'AC12 million' tattoos. We'll see who's good to their word......
That’s Vicky McClure (Kate Fleming), Adrian Dunbar (Ted Hastings) and Jed Mercurio the creator and writer of Line of Duty, for those who aren’t on first-name terms with the cast. Vicky McClure has already tweeted that she’ll be honouring the deal–here’s hoping they’ll share the evidence!
Is Line of Duty coming back?
Will there be a series 7 of Line of Duty? Creator Jed Mercurio has so far remained tight-lipped as to whether there will be a Line of Duty series 7 and the cast have insisted that they don’t know whether the show is set to continue. However, it’s looking more and more likely that there will be a Line of Duty series 7.
Not only did the drama pull in massive viewing figures this series,BBC chief content officer Charlotte Moore said on Monday that she was ‘looking forward to having a conversation with the team about where we go next and what the future of the series might be.’ What’s more, journalist Giles Coren may have let the cat out of the bag yesterday in a since-deleted tweet which said ‘A friend of mine was cast in series 7 last week. There’s no secret.’
