The same goes for billionaire Virgin founder Richard Branson. When he goes on holiday, he doesn’t play around. As explained in a publication found on the Virgin site, Branson has found himself filling his spare time in Morocco, just outside of Marrakech:
I have spent the last few days in Morocco and have been struck by how special the country is in the winter months.
Over there he spends his downtime in his luxurious hotel Kasbah Tamadot, perched atop a valley in the beautiful Atlas Mountains. He was inspired to purchase the hotel after spotting it during one of his hot air balloon expeditions. That’s something normal people do, right?
This hotel is something we’d dream about: situated in the heart of the mountains, the hotel boasts a spectacular view but above all an unprecedented level of luxury. The 28 rooms, decorated with priceless Maghreb antiques, are all equipped with hot tubs or pools.
From private tennis courts to a moonlit cinema, this place is everything you could want from a luxury resort. Even outside of the walls of the hotel, the location promises the most ideal conditions for anybody looking to do some hiking in the mountains.
Unfortunately for Richard Branson, his other home away from home, Necker Island, was severely impacted by the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma. Fortunately, this was just a temporary setback; the resort is back and better than ever.
So if you ever find yourself on the British Virgin Isles with a week to spare and $35,000 in your pocket to blow, you're in luck! That's one expensive hotel room...
