Dolly Parton is one of the few people in this world capable of bringing country folks and drag queens together. She is admired by just about everyone on the planet. So, naturally, when Gentside heard about her potential come back on the cover of Playboy Magazine, we got pretty excited.

2nd cover shoot in the works?
After first appearing on the cover of the magazine's October 1978 issue, wearing the traditional Playboy bunny costume, Parton hinted, during an interview with 60 Minutes Australia back in March of this year, at wanting to reappear on the magazine's cover for her 75th birthday. Although this was merely wishful thinking on her part, Playboy staffers quickly jumped at the opportunity to reunite with the singer.
Just a matter of time
At this point, all that's left is to set up the date of the shoot. But that might prove to be a little bit tricky with Parton's busy schedule this year. The country icon has just released a new holiday album titled A Holly Dolly Christmas, featuring industry heavy weights Miley Cyrus and Willie Nelson. She is also starring in the upcoming Netflix holiday movie Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square set to be released on November 22nd. And if that wasn't enough, the queen of country herself is returning to primetime television with her new TV special A Holly Dolly Christmas airing December 6th.
Though most people retire in their 60's, Dolly Parton is showing no signs of slowing down. Perhaps we can expect a full circle moment at Playboy sometime in early 2021.
