A biopic about Boy George
The team working on the project is now looking for the actor who will best portray Boy George. The singer doesn’t mind whether the actor is homosexual or heterosexual, but he is instead more focused on the portrayal being as realistic and true-to-life as possible.
‘It would be about the right person for the right moment,’ says Boy George to TMZ.
‘Equality means equality for everyone, even normal people. You can’t just choose what people are more equal than others’ he continued.
Even actress Sophie Turner is in being considered for the part
Even Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, due to their similar external appearances, is being considered for the part. During a performance on the Australian radio show Fitzy and Wippa, Boy George explained.
‘It’s really strange but that’s been a suggestion. I think that will upset people, which I really like – [people saying] ‘She can’t play you, she’s a woman.’ But you know. But when I was 17, I would have loved to have been her… that was the ambition.’
Sophie Turner, who doesn’t want to limit herself to just one specific sexual orientation, also seems quite enthusiastic about the idea. She even acknowledged this on Twitter by saying, ‘I’m SO down!’ So far, nothing has been officially confirmed, but it’s still really fun to think about who will take on the role of Boy George…
