Giovanna Fletcher was crowned I’m A Celeb’s first-ever Queen of the Castle just two short months ago but plans are already well underway for the 2021 edition of the show. Whilst producers have already secured Gwrych Castle as a back-up location for 2021, casting for the series is likely to get fully underway next month.

Ant and Dec’s dream I’m A Celeb campmate
In an interview with The Sun’s TV Mag this week, presenters Ant and Dec revealed the one star they’d love to see on I’m A Celeb 2021–football legend Roy Keane. Ant said:
It’s always good to have people that will speak their mind and ruffle a few feathers. As much as we love people getting on and having fun, we also love a bit of conflict there.
Dec agreed, saying he thought Roy Keane would make an excellent campmate. He said:
I’d love to see him treat his fellow campmates with the same disdain he treats Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Jamie Redknapp. He’d be no-nonsense, he wouldn’t put up with stupidity from the others. He’s top of my list.
Whilst Ant and Dec obviously aren’t in charge of the casting for the show, I’m A Celeb’s creative director Richard Cowles revealed in 2019 that they do have some input. In fact, Dec was the one who masterminded Noel Edmonds’ appearance on the show in 2018 after working with him on Saturday Night Takeaway.
Roy Keane for I’m A Celeb 2021?
So, could Roy Keane be headed for the jungle (or the castle) this winter? Roy has previously spoken about being approached for the show and whilst he turned it down at the time, he didn’t rule out a future appearance. In 2014, he said:
I met the jungle people, but I thought, 'Nah, not for me.' But the more you say no, the more determined they are to get you, so who knows? There’s more to life than football.
Sounds like Ant and Dec’s wish might just come true!
