Carden claims that her neighbours are knowingly allowing the smells of meat and fish to drift into her yard, rendering it useless to her due to her strong vegan morals.

Carden told Nine News that "They've put it there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish... I can't go out there."
The legal battle between Carden and her neighbours started in late 2018. Since then her claims have been rejected a number of times for lack of evidence, once by the Supreme Court of Western Australia. In all fairness to the court, it's hard to prove that someone would be grilling fish maliciously.
The smell of fish and meat isn't the only thing Carden's upset with either. She also comlpains about the smell of cigarettes and the sound of children playing basketball. Now we're not sure anyone should have the right to take legal action against the sound of children playing... but to each their own we suppose.
Meanwhile, her neighbour has graciously tried to resolve the conflict without the courts via moving his barbecue and even stopped his children from playing basketball in their own backyard.
Cillia however, still insists she will continue to seek out legal retribution for the 'termoil' she has been through. An other neighbour of theirs who insisted on remaining anonymous had some words to say regarding the conflict:
"Ms Carden's demands were proven to be not reasonable and indeed were to the detriment of the other owners' ability to enjoy their lots in a reasonable and acceptable manner."
