Unless you've spent the last two years on another planet, you probably already know all about the young Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg. But have you heard of 'Thunberging?'

It's a new trend invented by the dating app OkCupid. The American platform works on the compatibility of registered singles, according to their answers to a series of questions about their tastes, beliefs or interests.
What is 'Thunberging?'
The application has found that over the past two years, references to climate change on the accounts of registered users have jumped by 240%, mainly among representatives of generation Z and millennials, according to an article published on 25 February on The Guardian.
Another significant figure is that when asked 'What issue is most important to you?,' 51% of the site's subscribers answered 'the climate crisis.' Last but not least, direct references to Greta Thunberg in users' profiles have increased by 800% in 2019.
Ecology, a new dating trend
And it's clearly not just on OkCupid that being environmentally conscious can help you find love. Last December, Tinder revealed the results of a vast survey which concluded that the most cited personality on the profiles of 18-25 year olds in 2019 in France was the young Swedish environmental activist, ahead of Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappé.
Further proof that climate issues are often crucial when looking for a partner who shares the same interests as you.
Ecology also trending in the porn industry
What about porn? Despite the 'ecological disaster' of watching adult videos online every year, the ever-clever platform Pornhub unveiled the 'Beesexual' campaign in April 2019. Produced in partnership with agency BETC Paris, the video series is designed to raise awareness of the essential role of bees in nature's reproduction.
A few months later, last September, the site unveiled another campaign called "the dirtiest porn of all time", and featuring couples having sex... on beaches ravaged by pollution.
