It’s no secret that sitting in a plane for multiple hours isn’t the most enjoyable experience in the world. Starting any holiday off with screaming toddlers, mediocre food, and a cramped seat is bound to put anyone in a bad mood. Considering the fact that it’s often a hundred or more people on board at any time, it’s a miracle there aren’t more reports about total meltdowns happening mid-flight.

Fasten your seatbelts, we’re experiencing some flatulence
This footage shows a very bizarre case of aeroplane rage. Two Dutchmen were so disturbed by one man and his particularly pungent farts that they requested the crew take care of the passenger. According to the two men, not only were the odours coming from the culprit absolutely unbearable but the man would not stop and seemed a little too pleased with his work.
When things become too real
The situation eventually escalated to verbal abuse and threats, and then even a physical fight. Due to the nature of the situation, the pilot deemed it necessary to make an emergency landing in Vienna. Upon arriving at the airport, police came on to escort out the involved parties... except the man who was farting!
In addition to the two men, two women who were seated in the same row as the man with gas problems were ushered out of the flight even though they claim to have had nothing to do with the situation.
Who's the guilty party?
For the four people forced to leave the plane, the situation was handled unjustly. ‘We had nothing to do with the whole disturbance. We distance ourselves from that’, stated one of the two women who were kicked off the plane. The airline doesn’t seem to see it the same way, as they’ve issued flight bans against all four of those removed. All of this over a couple of farts...
