A painful and rather unusual event took place in the world of MMA on 12 November 2021. MMA fighter, Christian Lohsen underwent surgery after receiving a blow to his genitals during a training session. His area was accidentally kneed and as a result had to get one of his testicles removed.

Getting a testical removed
The 26-year-old took to Instagram to tell his fans about the shocking event while still in the hospital bed. He said:
I don't recommend anyone going through this. Last night was tough, in a training accident my left testicle ruptured from a knee, resulting in its surgical removal.
The doctor said I won't lose any testosterone or ability to have children because of this. If I lose the other one though, that's a different story. So from now on, if you punch me in my last testicle, we are not friends.
The pain must have surely been more intense than Tywan Claxton’s wild knockout at Bellator 186, but somehow Lohsen managed to laugh at the situation.
Supportive community
Following the event, the fighter, who participated in 11 UFC fights, received tons of support from several fellow MMA fighters. Former fighter Mike Perry also sent his sympathies in hope that Lohsen’s sacrifice will one day be rewarded.
Flooded by supportive comments, a day later, the one-testicled fighter thanked everybody for their wishes and said:
First and foremost I want to thank everyone for your well wishes. -100,000/10 do not recommend for anyone to go through that...
The fighter has since recovered from his surgery.
