Memorial Mound is located in the middle of the forest, in the Birmingham area of the USA. It was built as a funeral home, which gave an alternative to grieving relatives to place their loved ones bodies in caskets rather than having them buried in the ground or cremated. It was opened in 1992 but closed in 2000 when it went out of business.

The abandoned funeral home then became a place to visit for curious millenials with an interest in the morbid. One YouTuber who decided to investigate and film his experience discovered handwritten notes, coffins and even bodies, including one belonging to an infant.
They shared a video of their investigation that has been seen nearly 3 million times - and which finally pushed the police to investigate and secure the premises, so that the mausoleum would no longer be open to anyone who decided to enter it.
