Kristen Michele and her girlfriend Jenn Mangan ordered an Uber to take them to a concert in Camden, New Jersey, USA. While they were in the Uber, Michele gave her partner a kiss on the cheek, and the driver witnessed this display of affection.

That's when she asked them to get out of her car. The Uber driver made it clear that she did not want a lesbian couple in her car.
Kristen Michel filmed the entire exchange and posted the video, which has been viewed nearly 50,000 times, on Facebook. She explains that the moment the driver saw the kiss, she asked them to get out of the vehicle, adding "because you're gay".
Kristen Michel began filming after the driver told them that she was a Christian and that she did not believe in homosexuality.
The video, which you can see above this article, reached Uber, who fired the driver and made a statement. Grant Klinzman, a spokesman for Uber, said:
Uber does not tolerate discrimination in any form. We removed the driver's access to the app as soon as we were made aware of this incident.
Following this decision, Kristen Michel also made a statement:
I think everyone is free to their own personal opinions, however, if you are working for a company you must abide by their terms and policy. She should not be doing a job if she cannot abide by the policies.
