This Is The Real Reason Millennials Prefer Drinking At Home To Going Out

Against all expectation, millennials might just be homier than their elders. This is the result of a study carried out by Mintel, which claims that 28% of millennials prefer drinking at home since going out is 'too much effort.'

It’s true that you need more energy to get dressed, get on the tube or in your car, and then to come back home, instead of just chilling at home with some friends. But most of all, it’s expensive. And it’s principally the monetary aspect which affects millennials going out.

The facts don’t lie: going to a bar is rarely just for one drink and the bill can quickly creep up… especially when drinks are getting more and more expensive. If you add the potential of getting a taxi back home after a certain time, the bill can be huge! It’s hardly surprising!
