An aubergine-looking penis
According to NHS health expert Dr. Karan Rangarjan who has more than four million followers on social media, the reverse cowgirl is one of the most dangerous positions for people who have a penis. Although it can be incredibly hot for both partners involved, if done incorrectly (or a little too vigorously) the penis can slip out and be crushed by their partner's pubic bone. This would in turn cause the penis to become fractured. Dr. Rangarjan said:
Over enthusiastic sex could lead to your penis looking like an aubergine.
In cases where a fractured penis occurs and left untreated, long term repercussions can include: erectile dysfunction, scarring and a permanent curvature to the penis. In the video where the health expert reveals the position in question, more than 2.1 million views and thousands of comments have been received. One user said:
My husband is now scared to come near me because of that.
How common are fractured penises?
Although it doesn't happen all that often, one study has suggested that broken penises have an incidence of 1 in 175,000. Earlier this year, a British man managed to break his penis vertically during intercourse—a first recorded case according to doctors.
The man was said to have buckled against his partner's perineum (the area between the anus and the genitals) so forcefully that his penis fractured in a vertical axis.
