With tickets on the California Zephyr and Lake Shore Limited, you can take a train across 11 states in America. Travelling over 3000 miles, it's enough to cover the country from the West Coast to the East Coast, all whilst taking in some of America's greatest sights. You can count on seeing wonderous scenery such as Lake Michigan, Sierra Nevada, the Finger Lakes region and the whole city of Cleveland!

The icing on the cake is that this incredible journey, will cost you no more than £150 (around 213 USD). You'll take the California Zephyr train from San Francisco to Chicago then transfer to a Lake Shore Limited train from Chicago to Boston or New York.

Once you're on the train, you'll have everything you need at your fingertips, a bed, food, and a window to enjoy the amazing scenery. If you want to stop off along the way, fear not. You can invest in a 15 day rail pass which will set you back around £300 (429 USD).
