The mosaic in a few figures
Within the confines of the Hotel Bellagio in Las Vegas, he created a huge mosaic out of 66,000 cups full of coloured water. The liquid was coloured with vegetable dye and was used to represent the levels of impurities found in water throughout the world.
Using no less than 15,000 litres of water, Serge Belo created a picture measuring more than 334m² showing a child in the mother’s womb. This elaborate mosaic took the artist from Quebec 62 hours to put together with the help of 100 volunteers.
