The inside was even more captivating than he could've imagined. It looked like it hadn't been touched for more than 50 years. The antique furniture, appliances and sheer dust build-up was an indication that the house remained untouched for years.
Despite only being abandoned for 9 years, Batchelor was amazed to find that the decor and furnishings seemed to have not been updated since the 1950s, it seems the older woman who had lived there before seemed to still really enjoy the classic style.
Every item found in the house could pass for something unearthed from a time capsule: an old bicycle, a classic piano, old family photos, and even a calendar dating from 1956.
Either the woman who lived there was very sentimental, or she just plain didn't have the time to update her decor. Either way, who would've thought that there was a museum hiding in Hertfordshire?
