Cancer is a disease that could potentially affect everyone. Scientists have been working on finding a cure for a long time and recently, American researchers have been making crucial progress in the fight against this terrible illness. But now, Israeli scientists have stepped up to talk about a cure this year, as was reported in Huffpost.

Cancer could be cured this year
According to the Israeli company ‘Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd’, they want to release a cure on the market this year that promises to completely cure cancer. In the Jerusalem Post, the Israeli researcher Dan Aridor says, “Our cancer cure will be effective from day one, will last a duration of a few weeks and will have no or minimal side-effects at a much lower cost than most other treatments on the market.’ The scientists have called their new, ground-breaking cure ‘MuTaTo’ (‘Multi Target Toxin’). This cure is made up of lots of different antidotes that are supposed to prevent receptors from mutating. The Managing Director Ilan Morad explains: ‘Instead of attacking receptors one at a time, we attack receptors three at a time – not even cancer can mutate three receptors at the same time.’ This is similar to how AIDS medication works.
Sceptics have their say
But not everyone is so excited about this method. A speaker from the German Cancer Society went to the magazine Bild to express their scepticism.
‘Whether the concept works in humans, it must first be tested in clinical trials to find out the side effects and which types of cancer it is effective for, so there will still be many years left.’ So far, this cure has only been tested on mice. Les Funtleyder, an American expert in the healthcare market, went on CNBC and said he doesn’t think it is possible for the cure to be on the market by 2019. Normally, experts need another six or seven years between testing it on mice and people before it is able to go on the market.
