How far would you go to get free WiFi? The company Twifi announced on Facebook that they would grant free internet access to anyone who named their baby Twifus (for a boy) or Twifia (for a girl) and could prove it with a birth certificate. And as reported by The Entrepreneur, a Swiss couple decided to take them up on their crazy promotional offer. And so, a baby who is now named Twifia was recently born. Her parents, who wish to remain anonymous, explained that they wanted their daughter to have a ‘unique' name and fell in love with the name Twifia.

The father explained:
The more I thought about it, the more unique the name became to me, and that’s when the thing acquired its charm.
The mother said:
For me, the name Twifia means connection in this context. An eternal bond!
Selling out for unlimited internet
The parents, who will now benefit from 18 years of free internet, have since decided to pull together all the money that they will save on internet over the years and put it in a savings account for their daughter so that, when she reaches the age of 18, she can change her name if she wishes. But, as Kidspot has explained, they’re hoping that she’ll use the money to buy a car or learn to drive instead.
The parents, aged 30 and 35, do however feel a bit uncomfortable with their choice.
The couple, afraid that they will be accused of selling their child's name, said:
We want to remain anonymous to those around us because we don’t want to justify ourselves. We are also a little ashamed.
The offer still stands
The boss of Twifi, Philippe Fotsch, has agreed that the company will pay for parents of all Twifus and Twifia babies to have internet access until 2038, even if the company goes bankrupt, saying that it is ‘a matter of honour,' and adding that the offer is still open to other new parents.
