But so far nothing has been able to stand up to the hydraulic press. But that was before. It seems like the hydraulic press has finally been defeated, as can be seen in this video from the PressTube channel. It failed to crush a neodymium magnet, one of the most powerful magnets in the world.
Capable of crushing a hand or disrupting the navigational systems of an aircraft, this magnet is made out of three metals: neodymium, boron and iron. It can resist up to 1000 times its own weight, and has passed the test with flying colours by resisting the hydraulic press and even pushing it back for a moment.
However, PressTube explained that the magnet came out of the experiment with an internal crack, which eventually split it in two shortly after.
