This bust was made in international waters in the east of the Pacific Ocean. In the video, you can hear the coast guard shout ‘stop the boat’ over and over, in Spanish.
The coastguard’s boats slowly approached the submarine and two members of the crew managed to get climb onboard before then knocking on the door.
An impressive amount of cocaine confiscated
Onboard the boat, the American coastguards found the equivalent of 17,000 pounds of cocaine, equating to around 8,000 kilograms.
This impressive amount of cocaine, that was found onboard the submarine along with five passengers, has an estimated worth of around 200,000 million dollars. Check out the video above to see the drug bust for yourself.
