Air travel during the current coronavirus pandemic isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world, especially due to the numerous safety protocols which have been implemented for boarding and inside the aircraft in order to keep everyone safe. However, some people clearly continue to resist and fight these measures and this defiant behaviour has triggered many altercations on planes (and other places, let's not forget!).

A rather notable example of one of these conflicts took place on a Spirit Airlines plane which was travelling from Newark, New Jersey, United States to San Juan, Puerto Rico on Sunday. A female passenger, who refused to comply with the safety regulations, sparked quite a large brawl on board the plane before the police finally ended up intervening. Unexpected footage
According to sources, the young woman who caused the incident when the plane landed was Nyasy Veronique Payne. In the video of the incident which ended up going viral, you can see her hitting several passengers before eventually being overpowered by the police and sitting back in her seat. Seconds later, another passenger involved in the conflict grabbed her by the hair, at which point she got up and started throwing punches again. It was at this point that the police then decided to step in with their taser.
No to the mask
The scene was filmed by Carlos Paredes, another passenger on the flight. He told CBS that it had all started because the young woman refused to comply with the health protocols put in place by the airline. Others on board supported his claims and also said that Nyasy Veronique Payne and the two women who she was travelling with during the flight were also moving around on the plane while the seatbelt sign was still on.
The police said that she 'provoked an incident by acting in what witnesses called an aggressive, hostile and defiant behaviour.'
