On March 26, this pretty little island in the Scottish Highlands will have a new owner. Named Deer Island, or Eilean an Fheidh, this pretty little island will be auctioned off by Future Auctions.
An island for auction
The organization specializes in auctions of properties in the United Kingdom but also in Ireland. The starting sale price is 80,000 pounds, or 93,656 euros. The place is located in the Scottish Highlands and it is covered in greenery.
As it turns out, the island has belonged to the same family for more than 500 years. Located on the Scottish west coast, this piece of land is therefore isolated from the rest of the world, a perfect place to forget about the woes of the past 12 months. The island is located approximately 30 miles (48 km) from Glenfinnan and approximately 45 miles (72 km) from Fort William.
Absolute calm on this island with an incredible charm
For those of us who have a deep need for unadulterated nature and serenity, this island was made for you! You can enjoy the wildlife, and even observe dolphins from home in a relaxing quietude.
The website that put the auction online describes this home as:
Unique opportunity to purchase a space that can be enjoyed with zero chance of intrusion. Beautiful approach and outlook. Uninhabited island located within extremely popular sea loch certain to appeal to investors from all over the world. Rugged island extends to approximately 11 acres.
Another interesting piece of information: the neighboring island, Eilean Shona, belongs to the family of British business magnate Richard Branson. Quite the 5-star neighbors for this paradisical island ... What are you waiting for?
