Although things in the UK have been spiralling out of control, with various new COVID-19 super-infectious strains popping up left and right, this did not stop a crowd of about 200 from gathering to take part in a giant snowball fight.

You would think that the strict lockdown measures that were recently put into place to slow down contamination would dissuade people from coming together... But it appears these snow lovers were not going to miss out on the chance to partake in what is now being called 'the battle of Hyde Parks' in Leeds earlier this week.
Caught on camera breaking lockdown rules
And now a video that was taken by a resident living nearby, Liam Ford, has gone viral! Ford explains having come across the loud commotion when he was out on a walk with his girlfriend:
We were going for a walk in the park, it's literally around the corner from our house, and we heard all this commotion. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. With what's going on, I can't condone mass gatherings like that. I've really come to appreciate going for a walk and having that time, I think these people have abused that.
The furloughed retail worker proceeded to record the events and expose them on social media so that public shame could perhaps snap some sense into the wrongdoers.
Disregard for those suffering from COVID
As hospitals and staff workers are being pushed to their limits with corona daily infection cases surpassing the 40,000 mark for weeks now, Ford explained having:
stood there for a good ten minutes and there were times when it quietened down and then picked back up again. It just shows a blatant disregard for the NHS and the strain it is under." "It's quite an open park so you can see the middle of it from wherever you are. Every so often you could hear them picking up again. For there to be so many people, I think there must have been some sort of organisation behind it.
